(TOWSON, MD)-IWIF Workers' Compensation Insurance, located in Towson, Md., donated $10,000 to the American Red Cross in Central Maryland on September 2, 2005 to help with the Hurricane Katrina disaster relief effort.

Donna Wilson, vice president of Corporate Services, and Carolyn Gutermuth, manager of Government and Community Relations and head of IWIF's Charitable Contributions Committee, presented the $10,000 check to the American Red Cross during a live fundraising effort hosted by Baltimore ABC affiliate WMAR-TV.

"This donation is from IWIF's board of directors and employees," explained Wilson. "It is the first installment of several contributions IWIF and its employees will be making to this cause. Our employees have a strong record of giving to the community, particularly during disasters. We will continue to match employees' contributions to various charitable organizations that are collecting for the Hurricane Katrina disaster relief effort."
