Kids’ Chance of Maryland appoints Perroots to Board of Directors




(TOWSON, MD)--Kids’ Chance of Maryland, Inc., (www.kidschance-md.org), an educational scholarship fund that benefits children of Maryland’s catastrophically injured workers, announces the appointment of Steve Perroots to the board of directors.

Perroots is the Senior Director of the Mid-Atlantic Region office for Marriott International, a self-insured organization, where he manages multi-line casualty claims.

The 20-member board for Kids’ Chance of Maryland is charged with seeking and reviewing applications from students for grants to assist them with tuition and other expenses associated with their post-high school education. The board also raises funds to pay for Kids’ Chance scholarship grants.

Established in 1998 as an outgrowth of Maryland's workers' compensation community, Kids' Chance of Maryland is dedicated to assisting the children of Maryland workers who have been catastrophically or fatally injured during the course of their employment. There are currently 13 students receiving scholarships worth approximately $2,000 per semester. Kids' Chance organizations are now active in 27 states across the country.
