IWIF awards MRA $276,000 group dividend

MD—IWIF Workers’ Compensation Insurance presented a group safety dividend check in the amount of $276,268 to participating members of the Maryland Retailers Association. Tom Saquella, MRA president, and Don Morris MRA chairman, accepted the check on behalf of the members of the IWIF/MRA program. Members earned the group safety dividend for controlling losses and preventing workplace injuries for accident year 2007.
This is the third consecutive year MRA members participating in IWIF’s program have earned a group safety dividend from IWIF. In 2007 and 2006, the group earned dividends of $107,000 and $61,000, respectively.
The Maryland Retailers Association is comprised of more than 700 members at some 1,400 locations and is the Maryland retail community’s major statewide trade association.
Established in 1914, IWIF is the largest provider of workers’ compensation insurance in Maryland.
