IWIF publishes two new pocket safety guides for policyholders with Spanish-speaking employees

Expanding on a series of industry-specific pocket safety guides, IWIF has published two new pocket safety guides in English and Spanish – one for the landscaping and arborist industries, and one for restaurants and commercial kitchens.

Written in English and translated into Central American Spanish, the pocket guides use simple language, large pictures, and visual clues to make it easier for Spanish-speaking employees to learn good safety practices specific to their line of work.

Last year, IWIF created a pocket safety guide for the construction industry which proved to be extremely popular. As a result, IWIF has plans to develop more pocket guides for other industries that have a high proportion of Hispanic workers in Maryland.
